This position will require an understanding of the catalysis research and fragrance ingredient business as it relates to chemical synthesis.
Conduct exploratory research directed toward the preparation molecules for fragrance evaluation. This effort should encompass novel structural chemistries on renewable raw materials. Key areas include catalyst preparations for unique carbon-carbon bond formation reactions, asymmetric hydrogenation and hydroformylation chemistry, novel rearrangements and green chemistry transformations. Identify and develop business opportunities to improve existing aroma chemical processes focusing on lowering IFF manufacturing costs and implementation of sustainable chemistries.
